The mentions of the film  Love Aaj Kal has her glowing.And she tells Imtiaz ali had offered her  Love Aaj Kal long before her debut film Om Shanti Om get released.

“I heard that Saif Ali Khan had launched his home production along with Dinesh and saif would signed on Imtiaz ali. About three months Before Om shanti Om released,they informed me.When imitiaz  narrated the story to me,i completely loved it.It’s Saif’s first home production.Everything has been so systemised.its really nice to have actor cum producer,because he is been on other side.Love Aaj Kal will definitely go down as one of the most memorable movies of my carrier.Im not bragging  about the film.but we know we have made a good job in this film”.

Deepika is hoping that Love Aaj Kal will  break the records at  box office as Jab We Met..That this movies does help for her carrier what jab We Met did for Kareena’s.And she confess that she got the opportunity so early to work with Imitiaz Ali…She says Imitiaz Ali is a sensible director,both Socha Na Tha and Jab We Met are real proof for that.He makes new-age movie but simultaneously with the combination of traditional Indian elements in his movies.In this film my character is completely different from the characters which  i’d done in my previous films.It was a huge responsibility for me. I must admit that he has drawn a performance which i dint think i was capable of  doing it so soon in my carrier.

There were gossips that Saif and Deepika didn’t communicate much  on the sites.But she denies the rumors and she adds “my communication with every co-star is going to be different.The way i get along with them is different.And i have read somewhere in news that Saif and I used to fight on the sets.That is rubbish.We shared very cordial relationship.He is a nice guy to work with.I think he is one of the finest actors we have.”

Deepika realises why imitiaz wanted her to this film specially.She believes that he wrote character keeping her in mind.”Because some of the shades of the character Meera in this film are so similar to me.Obviously he doesnt know me well to have written it in that way.But its so strange.Because the way i would react to a situation is the same way Meera deals with it in this film.”

Besides it was great pleasure working with her boyfriend’s father Rishi kapoor.Though she hardly had two days work with him.she says that it was wonderful to observe an experienced actor who is involved in what he’s doing..

Imitiaz was keen on working with her,and as well i too wanted to work with him,he gave me narration and i loved the subject,And the dates are worked out.”
